Distilled with caraway, fennel, raspberry, lemon and rye, Silver Circle Aquavit is a modern, versatile version of Scandinavia’s most famous spirit and the first aquavit to be produced in Wales. As a botanical spirit, Silver Circle Aquavit makes for an excellent cocktail ingredient. It is also delicious when sipped straight with food, Scandinavian style.
We’re looking for a delicious cocktail which will become the Silver Circle Aquavit signature serve. Something properly awesome!
RULES & CRITERIA:
There is no restrictive theme, we only ask that you draw your inspiration from the aquavit itself and stick to the following rules.
- Recipe entries must contain a minimum of 25ml Silver Circle Aquavit.
- Showcase your creativity and skill but make sure all homemade ingredients can be easily replicated ie. so they can be made at home and/or on a large scale.
- Cocktails submitted must have been created for this competition and not feature on any other menu.
- All entries must include your inspiration behind the cocktail. We’re not looking for essays, just something that will help us plug into your creative mind! Roughly 100 words will be fine.
- Must be delicious!
PRIZES:
1st place
- Winning cocktail will become the Silver Circle Aquavit signature serve. The cocktail will be photographed and made into a recipe card which will be included with all online orders of the product and promoted online and on social media. It will also be served to guests and media at promotional events in Cardiff and Bristol later this year.
- Winner invited to make their own bottle of aquavit or gin at Silver Circle Distillery in Monmouthshire.

2nd place
- 2nd place winner invited to make their own bottle of aquavit or gin at Silver Circle Distillery in Monmouthshire.

- 3rd place winner invited to Silver Circle Distillery in Monmouthshire for a tour and tasting session with friends / work colleagues (max 10 people).

Send an email to hello@silvercircledistillery.com, with the subject line 'Silver Circle Aquavit Competition'. Include your name, recipe, a few sentences about your inspiration, Instagram handle (if you have one), and place of work.
Entries must be received by March 15th. Finalists will be chosen and informed by March 22nd. Final will be held in Cardiff on April 5th at Lab22, the winner of the ‘Best Cocktail Menu in the world’ at last year’s World's 50 Best Bars Awards.
